!!!MY FINAL WEEK @ J0ES!!! :(

As the semester ends, think back over the last few months. What experience has been most valuable to you?
I've had some experiences during the time I have been working at Jittery Joes. I have met so many new pwople while I've been working up here and just being able to have worked up there has been an experience for me. I had never worked a register before because i really didnt know how to and that's one of the things that i learned and mainly did while i was up there. It wasn't a hard job at all and I'm looking forward to doing it again.

!!!WEEK 11 @ J0ES!!!

What job do you ideally want? What skills will you need to hone in order to get that job? What educational background is required? How does this class help you to train for these things?
My ideal job would definetely have to be Cosmetology. I need many skills for this job. Like knowing how to do hair. And not only that, if Im trying to have my own business then i have to know how to handle money carefully especially if im going to be saleing any products. I think this class can help me out on any money related things and also with customer service.

!!!WEEK 9 @ JOES!!!

What has been the most difficult part of your job at Jittery Joe's? What would you change if you could?
Most difficult part of working at Jittery Joes would probably be having to wake up early if you're working in the mornings. but other then that nothing is really difficult, at the beginning I was having some problems with working the register, but then i got a hang of it, until we got the new register, but i got a hang of that too..

!!WEEK 8 @ JOES!!!

Now that you have legitimate work experience (if you did not already) do you feel differently about the way you spend money? Assume you earned minimum wage for working at Jittery Joe's instead of course credit. How does that change the value of money in your eyes?
I'm a very crazy, careless spender. Whenever I have money, no matter how much it is, I always end up spending it on whatever I like. But I think that if i was to be making money I would actually be more careful, and responsible on how im spending and actually try to save up by separating my saving money from my spending money.
Have you had a bad customer experience? Without using names or identifying information, explain what happened and how you resolved the situation.
I have never had any bad experiences with any customers while I've been working at Joes.

!!!WEEK 6 @ JOES!!!

Describe how you feel physically while working. What changes or stays the same as you work?
I never really physically change while im working only when it's packed then I have to speed up and finish an order to get to the next orders. There have been times when it's so many people up there you just forget what you're doing while you're doing it, but I've gotten through it and gotten so used to it it rarely happens.

!!!WEEK 5 @ JOES!!!

Has there been a time where you made an error either with money or dealing with a customer? Explain what happened and how you corrected it. What will you do differently next time?
I haven't really had any problems when it comes to handling money or serving a customer, just when I really don't know how to make certain stuff like lattes. And whenever that's the problem I either call Mrs. Scredon over to help me or I'll just ask whoever is up there working with me if they known how to make them. Other then that money is never a problem.

!!!WEEK 4 @ JOES!!!

Do you have classmates asking you for free drinks or pastries? You aren't alone! Some of your peers will ask you this frequently, causing you to make an ethical decision. How have you handled it in the past? How will you handle it in the future?

To be honest, I haven't really had anybody ask me this much. What I have been asked many times is if I could sell them an item for less. This is mainly aasked when they buy a Frosty Joe or a Smoothie and I always tell them that if they dont want to pay full price then they should buy something they can pay for, but htey end up uying it anyways. But if they ever do ask me for something free, I just let them have my free item tab.

!!!WEEK 3 @ JOES!!!

Talk about tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. What types of things can you be working on to still be a productive worker?
The shop never seems to be running slow, but whenever it is I look on the counter to see if it needs to be cleaned or to see if I need to re-stock anything, I check the sinks to make sure there's no dirty dishes and if there is then I wash them, and if there's nothing else to do then I just do any other work I need for my other classes.

!!!WEEK 2 @ JOES!!!

We are already beginning to talk about customer service. Talk about a positive customer service experience you have had working at Jittery Joe's.
Since I've been working up here I've noticed that Jittery Joes is never quiet but other then it always being loud and packed with people, Mr. Siegmund always manages to ask for some half & half, sometimes I dont even have to ask him, as soon as I see him go into the teachers lounge I go ahead and set the half & half on the counter for him.

!!!WEEK 1 @ JOES!!!

Is working at Jittery Joe's your first experience with work? If not, what skills from other jobs are you implementing at the coffee shop? If it is, what skills are you learning that you will take with you to future jobs?
I've never had a job, so Jittery Joes would have to be my first working
experience ever. I'm learning alot from working up here like how to use a register, how to make coffee, (L0L) and how to interact with better people, you even make a few new friends while working up here. I think that all this will help me with any job especially if I'm thinking of working in a coffee shop.
